“I don't know if I continue, even today, always liking myself. But what I learned to do many years ago was to forgive myself. It is very important for every human being to forgive herself or himself because if you live, you will make mistakes- it is inevitable. But once you do and you see the mistake, then you forgive yourself and say, 'well, if I'd known better I'd have done better,' that's all. So you say to people who you think you may have injured, 'I'm sorry,' and then you say to yourself, 'I'm sorry.' If we all hold on to the mistake, we can't see our own glory in the mirror because we have the mistake between our faces and the mirror; we can't see what we're capable of being. You can ask forgiveness of others, but in the end the real forgiveness is in one's own self. I think that young men and women are so caught by the way they see themselves. Now mind you. When a larger society sees them as unattractive, as threats, as too black or too white or too poor or too fat or too thin or too sexual or too asexual, that's rough. But you can overcome that. The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself. If we don't have that we never grow, we never learn, and sure as hell we should never teach.” - Maya Angelou.
Is it really that important to forgive yourself ?
Well I think its absolute essential to forgive yourself, it can actually make a world of difference in our own attitude towards life and can also shape your character in a much more positive way. Yes it definitely is important to seek forgiveness from others, but if you cant forgive your own mistakes than what good will others do ? If ever you make a mistake try to seek forgiveness and mean it, also try to forgive your own mistakes because that way our inner self can grow, but if we cant forgive our ownselves than we can never grow, we can never live up to being a Human Being.
Forgive your ownself, and grow bigger in life, but try never to make a mistake so big, that no one will forgive you...

Failure - Is It The End ? or, The Beginning ?
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." - Thomas A. Edison
"In order to succeed you must fail, so that you know what not to do the next time." - Anthony J. D' Angelo
Failure - does it really mean that we have failed ? Or, does it mean that if we work hard enough, than someday success will come to us ?
Personally I feel that failure is just another way of saying - "WAIT FOR ME, I'LL BE SUCCESSFUL ONE DAY". Its more like a learning curve where we learn from our mistakes, or better to say that we learn from our not so pleasant experiences. Some days back when I was browsing through the internet I came across these few lines somewhere I cant recall now, but here they are -
"What is the meaning of life ?
'Taking pain,' said the nail.
'Keeping cool,' said the ice.
'Driving hard,' said the hammer.
'Being up-to-date,' said the calendar.
'Being sharp,' said the knife.
'Making light around you,' said the fire.
'Sticking to it,' said the glue.
'Being bright,' said the lamp.
'Being on time,' said the clock.
'Saving a drop,' said the faucet.
And best of all, 'learning from it,' said the mistake."
Previously I used to think that life is fairytale and like a fairytale I thought it was full of happy surprises, exciting, vivid. But now I've come a long way to realise that there is more to life than just this 'Happily Ever After', we get wiser through our mistakes, and no miracle can make us happy or lead us to happiness. I've come to realise that each day we strive, we fight, and finally we move to understand that we have what it takes to beat the odds, and make life all the more meaningful.
But in our quest to success, we have to be dedicated to it, we have to be dedicated to make that difference, to make that winning move. And no matter what comes and goes we must learn never to give up, we must always continue to fight in good spirits and we must have faith in what we do, because nothing can be done without faith and optimism.
"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." -Thomas A. Edison.
In the end just remember that in this little planet of ours there is no end to ones problems, there is no end to failures and miseries that follow it, but never lose your heart and never give up on your dreams because you never know what tomorrow will bring, just keep the fight on...

Do You Love Me ? Just How Much Do You Love Me ?
"Love is something even the most perfect assemblage of words can't describe. So please stop scaling or putting it into numbers. It doesn't work". Oliver Metz
HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME ? That fundamental question, the answer to which is ever so elusive. I mean can we really quantify, or even define how much we love the other person ? Personally I don't think we can do it, but yet there are people who ask this question, and they never get a so called "SATISFACTORY ANSWER", thats because no one can define or quantify the amount of Love, it can only be felt (Actions speak volumes, more than words actually).
We always set ideals, we say - "I want this to happen, I want you to do this, etc etc" and when that is not provided we actually get annoyed or even upset. But I've learnt that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. I mean we must learn to appreciate the simple facts of Life and Love. We forget that there is a limit to what a Human being can actually offer, and we crave for more, and in the longer run end up ruining most of the zing offered by Love.
Love means different things to different people, it bears different meanings in the hearts of different people. For me I must say that I know what love is, I may not show it to the ones I care for, I may not Love them the way it should be, but I’m always willing to love them the way I understand it...
So don't miss out on the fun of being in Love by being blinded by the things that you want, don't say that they don't Love you True, but know this that they Love you the best way they can, and its a sure way of being happy...
Keep Loving and be happy with the simple things in life...
